Slipping Through My Fingers

(A picture I took of my two girls last week)

Two more days until my little Ava starts kindergarten. I sometimes wonder where the time goes. Every day passes and I feel like the time is slipping away from me. I will miss her terribly once school starts and I'm sure her little sister and brother will too. I know that she will enjoy school and love her teacher. I feel like it was yesterday that I had her, this small 6 pound baby girl. I oftened looked at her and wondered how I could spend a minute without her. I didn't know that I could possibly love something so much. She has grown into a young, vibrant little girl with so much life and love. She continues to surprise me everyday with everything she says and does. The past 5 years have gone by so quickly. I wish she didn't have to grow up so fast. I am so proud to be her Mom. I love her so much.

The Greatest Love

Just a quick card that I pulled together for Troy's parents anniversary back in June. All supplies are Melissa Frances. Most of them are from the Thankful collection along with a rub on. I love how this came together. I hand cut out the flowers from a piece of patterned paper from her Thankful collection. Ribbon is Offray. I really enjoyed making this for Troy's parents. It's a beautiful day outside today. Ava meets her teacher on Friday morning.
Things are gearing up for school!! Have a good one.

Enjoy today

Today I took the kids to Wal-Mart to do our weekly grocery run. Man, I have never been so stressed out! I think the kids were into everything they possibly could be in the store, and to make matters worse Ava and Liam are sick. I'm guessing that played into the whole not so fun experience. The kids are now napping and I'm trying to take a little break. Troy bought me a new camera lens this past weekend. It's a Canon Zoom Lens EF 28-105mm, f3.5-4.5. I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's a macro lens so I can get pretty close to things and blur out the background. I got a pretty good shot of one of our flowers out front yesterday. Anyways, I should get back to getting things done around here. Take care.

Rain Rain Go Away

What a week! The weather has been really bad. It's been off and on raining for the past couple of days. I tried to take the kids to the park yesterday afternoon after they got up from naps, and by the time we got into the park to play it starts raining. The kids weren't too thrilled that they had to leave the park right away. I guess it's my fault for dragging them out when the possibility was still there. I did snap some good pictures Ava and Bella though. Next week is the last week of summer for us. Ava will start school the following week. She gets to meet her teacher on Friday. We are so excited for her! Bella has a couple of weeks to go until she starts preschool again. I wish this weather would clear up. We are planning on taking the kids to a art festival this weekend a long with going to the toy store. Ava has been asking to go play at the toy store, so what the heck right?! Hopefully this last week of summer gets better on the weather front.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

So Sweet

I created this for my cousin who just had her second baby. The name stand is made up of mostly Melissa Frances supplies, along with some Making Memories Vintage items, Anna Griffin chipboard letters and Maya Road chipboard. I had a lot of fun making this for her. I hope she likes it. It was hard to part with. :)

Happy Birthday to my Bella

Today is my Isabella's 4th Birthday. We had her party on Saturday with family. She wanted a princess themed party so that is what she got! We had a lot of fun and it was nice to catch up with everyone. I can't believe she is 4. I wish that I could keep her little forever. She is such a wonderful little girl and so kind and giving. She has a heart of gold. She is so precious to me.

We have been keeping busy getting ready for going back to school. Ava starts in 2 1/2 weeks and Bella starts after Labor Day. The summer has flown by. I haven't been doing as much scrapbooking/crafting this summer. :(
I think things will pick up again once the kids are back at school.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the last few days of summertime!

Summer Days

The end of summer is nearing and the school year is approaching quickly. I am not looking forward to sending my Ava off to kindergarten. I am not sure why time has flown by so quickly. I wish that I could keep her here with me forever. She is very excited to start school. We have been busy shopping and getting things ready for her and Bella.

Liam has changed so much this summer. The little things that he keeps doing and how much he is growing surprise me every day. He is learning new things and has started speaking in what we think are sentences. Although we can't really understand him yet, he is quite the talker and enjoys pointing things out to Daddy when he gets home from work. It is almost like he keeps things all bottled up until Dad gets home so he can tell him about his day. Today, I couldn't get him to sleep without him holding onto his tractor, which he calls his "truck." I tried and tried to take it away from him, but he held onto it with a firm grip and wouldn't let go. I finally got it away when he fell asleep. He is such a precious little guy, I wish that I could stop time and have these moments forever.

I have been busy this summer working on some projects, some things I can't quite share quite yet. My cousin had her 2nd child last week, welcome baby Amara. I created this card for her along with a special gift. Also is a gift tag I made for Amara's older sister, Giselle. Beautiful names I might add. We are very excited and happy for them.

I hope that everyone is enjoying the last days of summer.
