Sweet Child of Mine

Just a layout featuring recent pictures of my son. I wanted something that I could put into his scrapbook page frame in his room. Most supplies are Melissa Frances and I hand stitched a ton! Thanks for stopping by!

Incredibly Busy

I have been so busy these past few months that I feel I really have neglected my blog. The kids are getting busier with school activies and my little Liam is growing up so quickly. I have been starting to pick up on my crafting again and created this card for my hubby for Valentines Day. It is a Iris Folded card. These are my favorite types of cards to make. I really enjoy the whole process and the outcome never ceases to amaze me. All papers are from Melissa Frances's Thankful collection. Melissa Frances rub on and pearls.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day!

Let the Christmas Crafting Begin!

These are clear glass ornaments filled with rolled paper. I cut about a 1/2 inch by 12 inch piece of paper and roll it around a pencil and quickly stick it in the ornament! I decorate the outside of the ornament with a Christmas saying and adorn it with several ribbons and charms. These are a quick craft and every year turn out a little bit different. I love giving these to teachers and friends!

These are my mini spool wreaths. I decoupage the spools and wrap the paper around the mini spools. I really enjoy making these. I added a Melissa Frances sticker and a jingle bell and it's oh so cute!

These are my paper trees that I typically create every holiday season. They are rolled paper and decorated with buttons, paper flowers and small metal charms. I love creating these. This year I used all My Mind's Eye papers.

This is my tiny house ornament. I used a house template and decorated with fake snow and mini Christmas tree. This can attach to a tree by a small clip underneath house.

So, I have been extremely busy with all the happenings in the past few weeks. I came down with strep throat and that about did me in! It was a horrible week and thankfully I'm feeling much better now. The kids have been staying busy with school and dance. The weather has been staying pretty nice too! I have started my Christmas crafts and I'm excited for everything this year! Hopefully I will be able to find more time in the coming weeks, but for now...these are what I have created!

First snowfall

We had our first significant snowfall yesterday. I think we got about 2-3 inches of the heavy, wet snow! The kids were really excited to go out into it and burn off some energy. I think Isabella sat in front of our window for about 30 minutes just staring at the snow asking when she could go outside. I told her when Dad got home from work she could go out. I didn't think I could handle 3 kids outside by myself. I eventually gave in. The kids really enjoyed playing on their sleds and using their shovels for the first time this year! We managed to survive about 30 minutes outside before Isabella wanted to come in. I think next time I will wait for Dad. It proved to be too much for me trying to manage Liam who doesn't have snow pants yet for the season! He did not want his mittens on and he didn't know what to do with himself once he got into the snow! It was hilarious! I'm glad I was able to capture these memories! Today the snow is melting, but I'm sure there will be tons of more snow fun in the coming months!
We are looking forward to Halloween this year. Ava will be a Queen, Isabella a Bride, and Liam will be a Lion. The kids have already broken in their costumes and have worn them several times around the house! I'm excited for them, hopefully the snow will have melted!
I have started my Christmas crafts. I have been working pretty steadily on them for the past 2 weeks. I like to get things started before the rush of the season begins.
I hope everyone is enjoying the last remaining days of fall!

Keeping Busy

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in quite some time. I have been super busy with the kids and their activities and homework for Ava. I haven't done a lot of crafting lately either. I am going to be starting my holiday crafting soon though, which I am extremely excited about. I love making holiday things for people, especially the girls teachers. I will be posting those as soon as I complete them. I'm just waiting for an order to come for some more supplies.

One of my favorite things to create are these little paper trees. This photo is from last year, this year's will be similar but with different paper and supplies. I really enjoy making these, and they are usually a big hit with people!

Another thing that I usually create are these little spool wreaths. These are made from tiny wooden spools that I decorate with patterned paper. These are always fun to make, but extremely time consuming!

Anyways, I should be off. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Fall Festival

We had a blast at the Quarry Hill Fall Festival this past weekend. The kids got to color pumpkins, decorate butterflies and dragonflies, take a tour of a cave, have their faces painted, and a lot of other fun stuff. We had a lot of fun and I think the girls favorite part was going into a cave. We had to use flashlights which is always interesting with a 4 and 5 year old. It was really cold in the cave and it was really sandy. Bella kept saying that there is sand on the ground. It was cute and was neat to experience it with them. I had never been in the Quarry Hill cave so it was a first for me as well. We had a really good time and we off to another busy week. School and dance! I hope everyone has a good week!
